"The thing must have been two clicks tall...

My gun was on it, trigger-finger ready, but... I couldn't shoot, couldn't move"

- Davis Hessain, 5th Squadron, Last Banner trooper

EMPIRES

Last Banner

As the resistance of a once mighty empire failed, their last remaining war banner was captured and cruelly reworked, to signify to all that a new cosmic authority had risen, The Last Banner. Their name serves as a timeless mockery of the once all-conquering First Banner.

D'testray

Literally translating as "into darkness", the d’Testray dwell in places bereft of all light, emerging only to gather and deliver essence to their queen. Those that return with the greatest sum are gifted the highest honour in their society, to become food for her.

echo of bones

The Echo of Bones is a single, conscious entity, a monstrous coagulation of crawling, shifting bone, barrelling through space. When the time to harvest essence arises, offshoots fall away from the Great Mass, released to scour new worlds for the hive.

tundran

The Tundran’s origins are lost to the abyss of time and war. They are the most aggressive of the four factions.

A nomadic race, not by choice but due to their nature, they conquer and ravage, leaving wastelands in their wake as they cross the galaxy.

"Few things fade so quickly as the hubris of an empire confronted by a God."

   - Observations of the Entity, penned by D'neth,  Supreme Caller of the D'Testrayan Psionic Order
